Goya Tasneef’e Shah’e Deen Hai Dua’e Saifee, Ye Asar Labb Mein Shah’e Koun’o Makaa’n Rakhte Hain

This is going back to summer 1994, when we went on a four-week holiday – to Cairo for zyarat and then on to London.

Five days on reaching London, our 12 year old son Adnan contracted the deadly streptococci. The doctor ran down the numbers: 17 children had died in four months in West England. So when Adnan was diagnosed, he pronounced with grimness: prepare for the worst.

Most of Adnan’s organs – liver, heart, kidneys and lungs – were not functioning. He had tubes inserted into his body all over.

We did what every mumin’s first response is: turn to his support pillar for help. A friend telephoned Mumbai and submitted an araz to Amatulla Aisaheba QR, who in turn presented the araz to Burhanuddin Moula RA in Ahmedabad.

Adnan was operated upon for more than five hours. The doctors said that Adnan would not be able to communicate in a normal manner for at least 24 hours following the operation, due to the effects of heavy sedation.

Three hours later, Adnan telephoned us to please bring his reading book when we visit him the following day.

That is not the amazing part:

A doctor, part of the team that performed the surgery, later stated he could feel the presence of someone around the operating table proving them a helping hand.

A year later during the Mombasa Ashara Mubarakah, while Adnan performed Burhanuddin Moula’s RA qadambosi, Maulana RA smiled prudently said “havey to fine chhey?”

Burhanuddin Moula RA showered countless blessings upon us. My son’s life is one among them.

Kun Keh Ke Hazaro’n Ko Kar Deta Hai Zinda Ye, Dikhlata Aa’lam Mein Ea’jaze Maseehana

It was the month of Rajab and a serious ulcer problem was diagnosed in my body. Thus, I suffered bleeding on a daily basis.

On the 16th  of Rajab, while in office, I felt some discomfort. I ate something light, returned home, and went to sleep.

Upon witnessing the discomfort I was experiencing, my wife insisted that we should go to a doctor. The moment I reached the hospital, the bleeding became more profuse, resulting in loss of much of my blood. Doctors checked my pulse – it was zero. At that moment, medically, I was dead.

Juzer bhaisaheb, submitted an urgent araz to Moulana Mohammed Burhanuddin RA for shifa and dua mubarak, in Bombay, on my behalf. While Aqa Moula RA was proceeding for waaz mubarak, my araz was presented to Him RA and shifa mubarak was pronounced.

That very instant in Karachi, my bleeding stopped. The doctors immediately began to consult where and how the treatment would begin.

They performed a complete check-up, again, and found that all the reports were suddenly clear. Not a single part of the body needed to be treated.

To their astonishment, they sent a man, who was medically dead just a few hours ago, home, without any sort of treatment. Because, Moula RA wanted to grant me a whole new life.

This zikr was narrated to Tazkerat by Shk Mudar Bhai in the year 1432H at his residence in Karachi, Pakistan.

Lail’o Nahar Phirta Hai Hasb’e Muraad Shah, Hatho’n Mein Inke Goya Falak Ki Lagam Hai

Burhanuddin Moula RA visited Dahod, and I was fortunate to be the Aamil there at that time.

On one of the occasions, Burhanuddin Moula RA was going to preside over a qadambosi bethak. As Moula RA arrived, mumineen instinctively lost control, and the arrangements lapsed. Moulana RA witnessed the sudden bustle and directed me with urgency: “Ibrahim, mari talaqqi kar”.

I managed to procure a rumaal and acted accordingly.

Amidst the talaqqi, I sensed an unusual rush and suddenly saw a large crowd of mumineen crumbling towards Moula RA. As a protective reflex action, I came in front of Burhanuddin Moula RA with the whole crowd upon me.

The stretching, pulling and pushing resulted in a bad back.

The pain was unbearable.

Moula RA immediately asked doctor Hatim to attend me. He examined and concluded “hamnaj Mumbai jawu parhse”, as in his opinion, I had broken my back.

In an unendurable pain, I was carried to Burhanuddin Moula RA, where He RA inquired about my situation and stated: “Ibrahim, mumbai jaao”, to which I replied with tears in my eyes, “Moula aap – yahan hou ane mein mumbai jau? hargiz nahi, mout aawe to aapni hazrat ma”.

Burhanuddin Moula RA had a keen look on me as I laid in front of him, smiled and said, “Taaro sayo utaar”

People around me helped as I obeyed.

Moulana RA said, “Kurto utaar”

I obeyed.

Moulana RA further said, “Banyaan utaar”

I obeyed.

Burhanuddin Moula RA then brushed his haath mubarak on my back three times, instructed that I should be carried back to my room and continued the bethak .

Moments later, in the midst of the very same bethak, the person with a broken back was standing upright again in front of Him RA.

As I stood there with my eyes flooding, unable to pronounce a word, Moula RA looked at me with a smile on his face and listened to my heart as it cried: “moula aapna upar qurban”.

This zikr was narrated to Tazkerat by Shk Ibrahim Bhai in the year 1432H during his final Mouze’ of Amalat in Al Mohallat Al Burhaniyah, Karachi, Pakistan.

Tere Hatho’n Ka Kiya Phirta Nahin Hai Hargiz, Haan Magar Haath Mein Tasbeeh Sada Phirti Hai

During his visit to Karachi in the year 1978, Moulana Mohammed Burhanuddin RA blessed my elder brother, Munawwar Ali Qurban Husain Sodawaterwala, who was suffering from a dislocated shoulder due to an accident.

As he was in severe pain, doctors insisted on an immediate operation. We trusted a Kumbhar (an alternative orthopaedic expert) named Ismail.

During Moula’s RA stay in Karachi, Munawar bhai once attended an ongoing bethak and narrated the problem to Moulana RA.

Burhanuddin Moula RA instructed Moulana Mufaddal Saifuddin TUS to listen to my brother’s araz in detail.

Mufaddal Moula TUS attentively listened to the araz and briefed Moulana RA accordingly. Thereafter, Moulana RA directed my brother to wait.

The bethak continued for a good 20 minutes. Moula RA instructed my brother to wait further.

Another 30 minutes passed, whereon Burhanuddin Moula RA called my brother and inquired about the exact location of the pain.

My brother brought forth his left shoulder. Burhanuddin Moula RA firmly gripped his shoulder and asked about the recommendations of doctors and the Kumbhar. Munawwar bhai stated that the doctors were insisting on an operation, whereas the Kumbhar had suggested that once the shoulder will be in place he would strengthen it through massage.

Aqa Moula RA, while His Mubarak hands on my brother’s dislocated shoulder, inquired the name of the Kumbhar we were consulting. After a while, Moula RA lifted His hands off the shoulder and directed him to be treated by Ismail, blessing him with his affirmative Dua Mubarak;  “Khuda shifaa apse”.

Munawar bhai never felt any pain after that bethak. The unbearable pain simply vanished. Forever.

All he needed, was one spiritual touch.

Kya Aur Phir Nigah Karein Ankh Utha Ke Hum, Ankho’n Mein Jabb Khapa Huwa Tujhsa Jawa’n Rahe

It was around 30 years back that I used to hand-make truck mirrors from plastic sheets using silver and different acids with my bare hands.

I worked from my home and had a room specifically distinguished as my work-space.

It was one day, the day that held the capacity to entirely wreck my life, while I was working that I went to pick up an acid container to continue with my work. I used to put the acid-container on a raised shelf to ensure safety, as my little daughters and son would occasionally enter the room to observe my work.

That day, while I picked up the container, it accidently slipped from my hands and fell. The acid was concentrated and so were the fumes it emitted, which penetrated directly into my eyes. Not only my eyes, but also my hands suffered severe burns. Instinctively I was more worried about my eyes. The next moment, everything faded away from my sight. I blacked out.

I was instantly rushed to the hospital.

During the journey from my home to the hospital, on the verge of blindness, I had my vision fixated on Moulana Mohammed Burhanuddin RA and kept on praying to him to save my eyes. While recalling the memories of doing Moula’s RA didar, I desperately pleaded to myself: “would all those moments just remain memories for me?”.

On reaching the hospital, the doctor insisted on an immediate checkup. He put a few drops, bandaged them and asked me to wait till the medicine could react. When I inquired his opinion on the situation of my eyes, he made it quite apparent that the damage to the eyesight was devastating and I would only be able to see again, perfectly, through a miracle.

Amidst the never-ending wait, while I rested on the hospital bed approximating a probable surgery, all my thoughts were diverted to Moula RA. I kept calling His RA name to save my eyes. Doing so, I fell asleep.

That’s where Moula RA answered my prayers.

I dreamt that I went for Moulana’s RA imamat namaz. After the namaz, as Maula RA was exiting the masjid, I submitted my araz, of how the acid had spilled onto my eyes and how much I feared losing my eyesight. After listening to my araz, Maula RA leisurely brought his noorani chehra mubarak closer to my face and breathed out shifa into both my eyes.

Just that moment, the nurse woke me up. The doctor checked my eyes and found himself aw struck. He explained to me how he didn’t understand how my eyes turned out completely unharmed, just after the state he had seen them in some time ago.

And so, no surgery, neither any form of treatment was required. The damage simply disappeared.

Thenceforth till present, my eyes are scatheless.

Today, when I am fitly able to see everything, my eyes tear for the sight of my savior, Moulana Mohammed Burhanuddin RA, whose didar mubarak breathed life into the lifeless.

Rahe Phula Phala Ya Rab Jaha’n Mein Baag’e Burhani, Ke Nakhle Arzu Sab Ka Ba’dolat Inki Phalta Hai

Having children is a women’s ultimate fortune. I was no different.

After many years of my marriage, I was still childless. We consulted the best doctors across the globe, and underwent various tests, of which all offered the same verdict, that it was medically impossible for me to conceive.

Hopeless and heartbroken, we consequently started to believe that having a child was not in our fate.

After some time, one of the doctors we consulted in Mumbai called us. As he was aware of the extremity of my desire for a child, he recommended a surgery, which according to him, could atleast give us slim hope.

Although I was not totally committed to the option, I desperately agreed. Thereupon, an urgent arzi for raza mubarak was drafted.

Fortunately, the night before the treatment was dated, I was informed that a bethak of Burhanuddin Moula’s RA qadambosi was ongoing in Mumbai at that time. Thus, with a copy of my arzi, I rushed for qadambosi.

Reaching just on time, I instantly entered the que.

After a brief wait, I entered the bethak hall where Burhanuddin Moula RA was presiding. Upon doing Moula’s RA didar my tears instinctively started to flow.

As I performed qadambosi, I brushed the arzi on Moula’s RA qadam mubarak and my heart cried; “moula mane farzand joiye che, aap mane farzand apo”. I lifted my gaze up and saw Burhanuddin Moula RA looking at me with a beeming tabassum on his chehra mubarak.

A couple of seconds, no words, a silent communication of hearts and I was guided out of the bethak.

Content and pleased, I returned home reasoning to myself; “Maulana yeh maari araz to sunij chhey to achhuj thaasey”.

The next morning before the treatment was to commence, I went through a routine pre-checkup. I sensed an expression of shock on the doctor’s face as he appeared with the test reports. In a state of total confusion he uttered that I was pregnant.

He further explained that it was exceptionally possible to become pregnant in a state like mine, but the fetus won’t survive. Thus, he insisted on an immediate abortion so that the surgery could commence.

Amidst all the this, I kept envisioning the tabassum of Burhanuddin Moula RA a night before, which I knew had change my fate.

I urged my husband on returning home, ergo, no surgery neither an abortion happened. As we left, the doctor stated in an alarming voice; “you are risking your own life”.

Months passed, and I abstained visiting the hospital. Until after normal nine months, I delivered twins.

When the world proclaimed I won’t be able to conceive a single child, Burhanuddin Moula RA blessed me the wealth of twins. Batul and Fatema.

Hearing a mumin’s cry – Moula changes fate.

Hai Inke Dil Mein Bohot Mehr Aur Bohot Ishfaq, Hai Ye To Waqe’i Ae Momin’o Pidar Apna

When I was about six, I was diagnosed with a ruptured appendicitis. I was rushed to the hospital and operated. All I can remember is unbearable pain before losing consciousness and waking up in the recovery room.

This is what my parents said happened in the interim: the doctor informed them that my appendix had ruptured, leading to septicemia, due to which the infection had spread throughout my body. Unfortunately, my survival chances were slim to none.

Before the surgery commenced, the doctor had left saying that only a miracle could save me.

My parents and grandparents turned to prayer: they invoked the name of Burhanuddin Moula RA during their constant dua’s to Allah TA.

Hours later, the doctor emerged from the surgery room and anxiously approached my mohta nani, who was preoccupied in her prayers.

He exclaimed that a man with an awe-inspiring semblance was in the surgery room with him, in ‘bright white clothes’ who gave him the confidence to proceed with the surgery. Someone telling him what to do, someone instructing and supervising throughout the successful operation. Upon the fortuitous surgery, the doctor said, just as I tried to approach the man to thank him and inquire about his relation to the patient, he had left and was nowhere to be found.

The doctor added that it was not due to him that her grandson survived; it was due to the one who answered her prayers. The one who directed the surgery.

“mein tamaro haqiqi maa aney bawa chu” – is our Moula’s relationship with us which the doctor was unable to concede.

Tere Bagair Hai Ik Aan Zindagi Mushkil, Misaal Rooh Ke Tu Jism Mein Samaya Hai

Thirty years ago, I worked in the Liaquat National Hospital Karachi, as a head person managing all the printing activities of the hospital. Lifting heavy loads was a basic requirement of my type of work at that time, ergo, I usually suffered minor back pains.

On one instance I endured a sudden distressing back ache. Although I sensed an unusual soreness this time around, I assumed it as the usual pain and turned to the habitual pain killers to deal with it. Unfortunately the pain worsened and I had to undergo an immediate test.

As I layed on the hospital bed in unbearable pain, the doctor turned in with test reports and uttered in a concerning tone; “mullaji aapko Jo dard hai, uska koi ilaaj nahin”. I was completely shocked as he continued “ye dawaiyan hain, aapko majlis mein jana ho, yaa koi kaam ho, to issse aapko thora araam milega”.

“Is it over for me?” I pleaded to myself in shear despair. As a result, an able-bodied man heretofore, returned home impaired and weakened with a bunch of medicines to subsist his remaining life.

Days passed, and my state got worse. In the course of time, I wasn’t even able to move without taking in the medicines. At one point, I pleaded to live no more.

Until it was the month of Shehre Ramazan, and due to my severe health, I couldn’t perform roza. Completely heartbroken and helpless, one night I desperately remembered Burhanuddin Moula RA, wept, and while reciting the seven ‘wakafa’ ayaat, I fell asleep.

Wheron I had a dream.

I saw myself standing opposite a residence, waiting for Burhanuddin Moula RA to arrive for a zyafat. As soon as Moula RA arrived, I rushed towards Moula RA, performed salam and cried “moula mari kamar ma ghanu dard che”. As I wept, Burhanuddin Moula RA fixed his gaze on me and with a radiant tabassum on His RA face, instructed me “leti jaa”.

I immediately descended myself on the ground near Moula’s RA feet with my back upwards. Moula RA lifted his qadam mubarak, brushed it on my back, and advanced ahead blessing me with his supernal nazar mubarak.

Hereupon, I woke up and saw myself sitting upright on the bed. As I restored myself back to consciousness, I was stunned. I wasn’t able to locate any kind of pain in my back. In a state of astonishment, I tried twisting and bending my back, but the pain had simply disappeared.

Today in my late eighties, it amazes people when they see me sound and living in fine feather, and they usually ask me about the enigma and mystery behind my robustness.

With tears promptly flowing, I can only manage to utter one name “Moulana Mohammed Burhanuddin”.

Pohnchoge Anqareeb Murad-e Dili Ko Tum, Nazdeeq In Ke Aae Jo Taal’e Rasa Huwe

Going thirty years back, me and my wife were passing an afternoon of one normal day, when my nine year old son, Mohammed, walked past us and suddenly fell to the ground. It looked normal as he lifted himself up until he tumbled again. I sensed trouble and immediately called the doctors. On observing Mohammed, they took my son to a neurosurgeon with an urgency, and he underwent a quick checkup.

The reports revealed that a nerve in Mohammed’s brain was miss-functioning due to which his spinal cord was loosing control over his legs, and eventually it would loose control over his body. We inquired further, to which the doctors informed that it might take six months to several years for Mohammed to partially recover provided that he receives continuous treatment. Mohammed was admitted the very next day.

Dejected and disheartened, we helplessly saw our child on the hospital bed as he looked back to us with hope.

On returning home, I decided to submit an araz to Burhanuddin Moula RA for raza mubarak before admitting Mohammed. Hence, I placed a call for Busaheba Amatullah Aisaheba QR, who fortunately attended the call, listened to the araz and asked me to call later again. When I called then, Moula RA graciously listened to the araz and replied “hame be teen din ma Qahera awiye che, magar yahan lawi sakta hoi to lawo”, I responded “Moula mein lawu chu” and immediately left for London.

As we traveled to London, Mohammed’s condition worsened. I had to lift him throughout, as his legs were static. He kept grieving “mane lage che mara bewe pag mara si alag thai che”. I responded with tears.

As we landed, I pronto informed Busaheba QR about our arrival in London, and she directed us to reach at Moula’s RA residence. An ambulance was awaiting us, and it was 11:30 PM when we left for Bonham House.

We reached Bonham House and I lifted Mohammed to Moulana’s RA gurfa mubarakah, where Moula RA was expecting us. Burhanuddin Moula RA was presiding on a chair as I placed Mohammed in front of him.

Moula RA keenly looked at Mohammed and inquired “su thai che tane?”, to which he replied “moula mara si ubho nathi thawatu”.

Moula RA vigorously stated “ubho tha”. Mohammed acknowledged and tried, but his legs simply would not move. When I tried to help him, Moula RA pronounced “na tame rehwa do”, and repeated again “ubho tha”. He tried again, but with no effect.

Burhanuddin Moula RA observed him, raised his finger towards him and decisively stated “mari aankh ma dekhi ne ubho tha”.

Fixing his eyes to Moula’s gaze and to everyone’s astonishment, Mohammed effortlessly stood up. Moula RA called him closer, brushed his body with His RA qadam mubarak, and asked me to bring sugar, so he could pronounce shifa on it.

Busaheba QR immediately went into the kitchen and brought a packet of sugar. Moula RA pronounced shifa mubarak, gave it to Mohammed and said “aane jem gamey aim leje, chai ma, thanda doodh ma, lukhi jamwi hoi to aim, jem pasand hoi”.

Thereon Moula RA granted us permission to leave, and instructed me to take Mohammed for a repeat checkup, and stated “mane reports batawjo”. As we left, Mohammed returned walking.

The next day, on the basis of his previous reports, Mohammed underwent a repeat check up in London. Just after the tests, the panel of five senior doctors, who were supervising Mohammed’s case, called for an urgent meeting with us. They were stunned to witness the reports clear. They reconfirmed if my son really suffered from anything. In fact, one of them asked Mohammed if he had made this up to buy a trip to London. Sensing their curiousness, I narrated them what had happened a night earlier.

Thereafter, I requested the in-charge neurosurgeon for the test reports who was still overwhelmed with what he had observed. He needed more time to prepare the final report, thus, he called me and my wife at his residence the next day.

Next morning, we went to his residence where he asked me to repeat narrating what had happened between Mohammed and Moula RA. Thereupon, he handed us the reports with his own written verdict on the case, which said ‘His Holiness did something which is beyond our imaginations’.

Acquiring the report, I rushed to the airport as Moulana RA was leaving for Qahera. With tears in my eyes, I managed to utter a few words of shukr, and presented the test reports. With a radiant smile, Burhanuddin Moula RA addressed all who were present “aa bacha na pag chala gaya tha, Imam uz Zaman ye shifa aapi che”.

On reaching Qahera, I took Mohammed to Moulana’s RA hazrat aaliya. While he presented salam, Moula RA reassured “aa yej bachu che?”, “haan Moula” I replied. Moulana RA directed Mohammed “wahan darwaza tak chali ne ja”, Mohammed did likewise, Moula RA added “pacho yahan aw”, he did as he was commanded with ease.

A child I was lifting a few days back as his legs were dead was walking better than before. Thereafter Moula RA repeated “aa bacha na pag chala gaya tha, Imam uz Zaman ye shifa aapi che”.

I saw Moulana Mohammed Burhanuddin RA bringing my son’s legs back to life, and I heard Him RA say – “Imam uz Zaman ye shifa api che”, the connection between what I saw and heard is as clear as day.

Tere Mamnoon’e Minnat Hain Jahan Mein, Bani Adam Tawangar Se Gada Tak

My hands were a victim of oppressive skin dryness since childhood. Continuous bleeding, painful nights, unceasing distress, all became a part of my routine. When others awaited winter, I used to fear my worst enemy. It would worsen and intensify the dryness to such a degree that my hands would become completely static, unable to even hold a pen. I used to survive winters by continual applying and disposing of bandages from my hands.

I consulted several doctors and underwent various medications, but nothing came to fruition. I was convinced about enduring the anguish for life, until the year 1425H.

I was in Darajah Sabea and the annual examinations of Al Jamea Tus Saifiyah co-occured with high winter days that year. Habitually, my hands started to evince the seasonal reaction. As I traveled to India, my condition worsened. Looking at my immotile bleeding hands, and aware of my despairing past with the illness, I was totally pessimistic about attending the written examinations.

Surrounded by melancholy, and completely shattered, I wept in grief.

Before imtehan commenced, we attended the Urus Mubarak of Syedna Taher Saifuddin RA in Mumbai. While doing zyarat, I placed my hands on the Qabar Mubarak of Syedna Taher Saifuddin RA and desperately cried: “moula aap mara haath ma itni quwwat aapye, ke imtehan ma likhi saku”. Thenceforth, we left for Surat.

On reaching Surat, I was stunned to see my hands. The dryness had completely disappeared. Hands which were subject to a perennial dryness, simply healed, ergo, I attended the examination with total ease.

Winters have befallen and elapsed since, but I have never observed a speckle of dryness thereafter.

My verdict: stretch out and extend your hands towards Moula, and you’ll surpass every examination.
