Do Jaha’n Ki Us’e Hoti Hai Sa’adat Hasil, Jiss Pe Shah’e Deen Inayat Ki Nazar Karta Hai

Even a few seconds of Moula’s didar is often just what it is needed to overcome life’s hardest moments.

Read this.

It was Burhanuddin Mouala’s RA qadambosi bethak for bairao in Mombasa, following Ashara Mubarak a few years ago. I was standing in the qadambosi queue until it was my turn. I performed qadambosi, and was being guided out of the venue when suddenly Moula RA instructed me to stay with an ishara of his hand.

No words. No sentences. Just me, standing in front of Him RA. The bethak paused, and I sensed a state of confusion and puzzlement around.

For the next eternal thirty seconds, Moula RA fixed his nazar mubarak on me with a concern on his face, as I stood there overwhelmed, unaware of what it actually meant. Thereafter, I was directed out of the masjid and I headed on to my hotel.

While on route to the hotel, my auto rickshaw driver who might have had his attention elsewhere, transgressed on to the wrong side of the road. I saw a huge truck hitting our tuk-tuk. I was still being rolled over, when I saw an another truck coming our way. There was no chance of me getting out.

In the blink, I reconciled to the fact that this was indeed going to be the end.

Something inexplicable happened thereafter.

Just before the truck was to blow an already damaged tuk-tuk out of sight, I was out from nowhere, standing on the road. I saw the tuk-tuk being crushed out of shape in front of my eyes.

It was then when I was able to comprehend Moula’s RA act in the bethak. He RA blessed me with an armor of His RA nazar mubarak.

Burhanuddin Moula RA often stated “tamaro koi baal bhi waako nai kari sake” – He RA truly meant it.

Kun Keh Ke Hazaro’n Ko Kar Deta Hai Zinda Ye, Dikhlata Aa’lam Mein Ea’jaze Maseehana

It was the month of Rajab and a serious ulcer problem was diagnosed in my body. Thus, I suffered bleeding on a daily basis.

On the 16th  of Rajab, while in office, I felt some discomfort. I ate something light, returned home, and went to sleep.

Upon witnessing the discomfort I was experiencing, my wife insisted that we should go to a doctor. The moment I reached the hospital, the bleeding became more profuse, resulting in loss of much of my blood. Doctors checked my pulse – it was zero. At that moment, medically, I was dead.

Juzer bhaisaheb, submitted an urgent araz to Moulana Mohammed Burhanuddin RA for shifa and dua mubarak, in Bombay, on my behalf. While Aqa Moula RA was proceeding for waaz mubarak, my araz was presented to Him RA and shifa mubarak was pronounced.

That very instant in Karachi, my bleeding stopped. The doctors immediately began to consult where and how the treatment would begin.

They performed a complete check-up, again, and found that all the reports were suddenly clear. Not a single part of the body needed to be treated.

To their astonishment, they sent a man, who was medically dead just a few hours ago, home, without any sort of treatment. Because, Moula RA wanted to grant me a whole new life.

This zikr was narrated to Tazkerat by Shk Mudar Bhai in the year 1432H at his residence in Karachi, Pakistan.

Mukhtaar Ka Mukhtaar Hai Allaam e Zamaa’n Hai, Allaam Bana De Jise Yak Lafz Parha De

A few years ago I was working on my Masters-group-project in London, UK. My group mates and I had spent a lot of time experimenting and developing a concept for a new form of personal communication interface. However, our proposal was rejected by our professors just a month before the project’s due date. We spent the following three days brainstorming for new ideas without success. We were scared; we feared failure.

Before I slept that night, I looked at a photograph of Burhanuddin Moula RA and Syedna Taher Saifuddin Aqa RA, wept, and asked for help. I had a vivid dream thereafter: I was on a beach, drawing on the sand with a stick.

That is all.

At first thought, this did not make sense. On second thought, it appeared that my entire project had been revealed through this simple vision. I created a fresh proposal that would use sand as a medium for a natural form of personal communication interface.

This concept turned into one of the most exciting interactive projects from our department. We won an international design competition in the area of interactive design.

I am convinced that the inspiration for this came from none other than Moula RA.

Tumhara Naam Chatt Karta Hai Dunya Ki Balao’n Ko, Asa’e Daste Moosa Ki Tarah Sab Ko Nigalta Hai

My father and I, after closing a property deal in Mombasa, were returning to Nairobi via train on a Saturday in 1992.  At the Mombasa Station we could only get bookings for a 2nd Class compartment and for the sake of comfort, my father urged me to speak to the Station Master and procure 1st Class Bookings which we got in a bogie that was added at the last minute, directly behind the engine.

Our journey started well and after having our dinner, we retired. In those days the first class compartments had two beds, one on top of the other. Owing to our hectic schedule in Mombasa it was not long before we were both fast asleep. Suddenly, the rhythmic noise of the train changed and we could hear the sound of gushing water. To our despair, even the lights had stopped working. It must have been between 2 and 3 a.m everything was pitch dark. At that time I asked my father if there was a river anywhere between Mombasa and Nairobi that the railway line crossed to, which he replied that there were only seasonal streams and no all-weather rivers of any sort in the area.

Slowly but steadily the water started entering our compartment and this confirmed our belief that something had gone tragically wrong with the train. In an effort to see what had actually happened and to try and escape, I desperately tried to force the compartment’s window open but to no avail. All we could hear was the thunderous sound of water gushing by.

As the water rose further, I asked my father to come onto the top bunk. The water rose further and further and in the deep darkness clutching my father’s hand, I silently prayed. I thought of my worst dread in life, to drown, which seemed to be the fate that I was going to face.

The water rose even further until there were only about four inches between the roof of the compartment. The level of the water did not stop rising. In a final appeal, I cried out to Imam Hussain AS and Burhanuddin Aqa TUS to save us. In that very instance the water stopped rising and began to slowly recede.

We were recused from the jaws of death. Literally.

It was several hours before we were able to get out of the train and reach safety.  When we emerged from the train, we noticed that we were in an area where maize was being grown and there was only one baobab tree in that vicinity against which our boggy had lodged onto, preventing it from being pulled away like the engine and the three bogies behind ours, causing the death of more than 350 lives. The train engine and four of the train cars had plunged into this area as the bridge for the railway line had collapsed in the floods. Only one fatality had occurred from our bogie, which was of a young man who had forced open the window of his compartment and drowned in the gushing force of the over-powering water.

Now, you may ask – How do I know Moula RA saved me?

I have proof.

The very next day, in the Shafahi Imtehaan in Surat, a Talabat from Arusha was asked directly by Aqa Moula RA to recount the incident of the train that had happened recently.  At that stage we had not even been able to send a fax, expressing Sajadatus Shukr in Hazrat Imamiyah when Moula RA asked this question!

Undoubtedly, only he, who had saved us, could have known of the incident.

We hear time and again, Moula TUS remind us, that when in trouble remember me and my “DUA” will hasten towards you.

And it never fails to do so.

Moassir Aisa Teri Marhamat Ka Marham Hai, Ke Zakhme Dil Ka Mere Ilteyaam Hota Hai

They say you live once, you die once. But I disagree.

Doctors as well as everyone, who hears this life story of a man still alive after having three major heart attacks, conclude that my life is a miracle in itself.

I suffered from three severe heart attacks and after every attack the doctors were hopeless – saying “very small chances of living.” Each time around, Moulana RA blessed me with Deedar and Shifa in my dream and granted me a new life.

I will never forget the Tabassum of Moulana RA during the third attack, when Moulana RA stated “aa tane teejee waqat bachawane aawi rahyo chu”. Whenever I recall this, I cannot stop crying.

He RA often used to say: “mumineen tame hamesha mara dil na qareeb cho”, assuring that even being thousands of miles away, He RA was never distant.

Likewise, He RA has not left, and will always be there. A belief, every Mumin is living with.

Karenge Hum Se Nakeer’ein Jo Suwaal’e Amal, To Naam Lenge Tumhara Jawab Ke Badle

Burhanuddin Moula RA often said: “mein tamne koi waqat bhulnaar nathi

Just as he assured the responsibility for the after-life of every mumin, he continued to be their savior in this world as well.

Take my instance. My husband had an accident seven years ago as a result of which he lost his memory. Since age was not in his favour, his prospects of pulling through were best described as slim.

If one asked him his name, he would be blank. If a relative walked in, his face would be flicker-less, as he had almost lost his sight as well.

His doctor described him precisely: ‘as blank as a sheet of paper’.

We would try various alternatives. ‘Pappa, do you remember this?” No response.

We would ask, “Pappa, do you remember that?” No response.

Once we asked “Pappa, Maulana ne olkho cho, su naam che?”

And suddenly his brows arched and he shot back: “Kewi waat kare che, maula ne kaun na olkhe – Taher Saifuddin Maula aney Burhanuddin Maula!” And then back to silence.

A few hours before he expired, he interrupted his silence with “aa badha aya che, koi jaga jawanu che?”

We forget people. Maula TUS doesn’t.
