Mujhse Bimar Pe Gar Ho Nazar e Mehr Zara, Ae Maseeha Abhi Chehre Pe Bahali Ho Jae

It had been over two years since I fell victim to back muscle spasms. It started off with mild tension in the back and before long, it intensified into a critical case of regular physiotherapy and meds. I wouldn’t be able to recline, carry anything, or even consider putting myself to any sort of physical exercise.

Stiff as a board; exactly how I used to define my state upon inquiry.

In the midst of all this, a glimmer of hope emerged. Mufaddal Moula TUS would visit Karachi.

On many instances throughout Moula’s TUS week-long visit, I did all to present an araz to Moula TUS but nothing appeared to materialize.

My condition continued to deteriorate.

Friday, July 26, 2019, was announced as the day of Moula’s TUS wada. On the night of 25th, Moula TUS would preside over the inauguration of Zaini Masjid and I deemed the occasion my last best chance. With some medical assistance, I reached the venue in the hope of getting a nazar mubarak, if nothing else.

Just as Moula TUS arrived and was near to move past me, the crowd around me lost the grip standing in the way and putting my final hopes to rest.

I returned back to Aljamea sunk in pain and anguish. Those around me and aware of the circumstances tried to dry my eyes but to no avail.

The following morning when I woke up for namaz, I was in pretty bad shape. Attending wada majlis looked impossible.

I decided to get some shuteye. In the dream, I saw Moula TUS entering my room wearing pagri and dupatto similar to his appearance earlier that night. Moula TUS got near my bed, brushed his haath mubarak on my back twice with a wide tabassum on his face and left.

Ecstatic and bewildered, I got up from sleep sitting upright with a force. As I was trying to recollect the dream, I failed to take into account a defining moment for me.

The pain had entirely vanished.

I attended the wada majlis with all normalcy brimming with the sense of gratitude that kept translating into tears as I made way to the venue.

Amongst the large audience, I saw thousands of mumineen with the extent of gratitude similar to mine. Indeed, all were the recipients of Moula’s TUS blessings in one way or the other.

I was just one amongst thousands.

Na Mile Tujhsa Jo Dhunde Falak Sar Gashte, Mah’o Khursheed Ki Aankhon Pe Laga Kar Ainak

In the year 2005, I lived through one of the hardest chapters of my life when all of a sudden I sensed an unusual discomfort in my eyes. As much as I was concerned about the problem, I turned a blind eye to it expecting it to be a routine allergic reaction.

In time, the pain escalated and the eyes would constantly exude water to such an extent that I was finding it hard to see. For an instant, I was struck by the fear of losing my sight.

Immediately thereafter, I rushed for a test.

Following an inspection, I was prescribed to put on a pair of glasses. Straight away, I acted on it tracking down a remedy but in vain. Nothing fairly happened other than that the pain worsened.

Plumbing the depths of helplessness, I could perceive darkness chasing me down. I had all but given up hope.

One night, I dreamt myself in the presence of Syedna Mohammad Burhanuddin RA. Upon witnessing my state, Moula RA turned, angled himself toward me, and brushed his labb mubarak on my eyes. As I lifted my sight up, I observed a wide smile on His face. All at once, a touch of serenity seeped through me.

I did not recall the dream until the following morning when I put on the spectacles and decided to pull them off then and there. I fell in with something remarkable.

The pain was gone.

I have not endured any pain in my eyes from there on.

With that said, my eyes water, yet, more. Seeing that today, they weep in the remembrance of Syedna Mohammad Burhanuddin RA.

As a saying in Malay goes; “jauh di mata, dekat di hati” (far from the eyes, close to the heart).

Tere Ahwaal Pe Ehmad Dil Khasta Zarur, Nazar’e Lutf Shahe Kaun’o Makan Rakhte Hain

Al Hayy Al Muqaddas Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin RA graced Calcutta with His presence 29 years ago, but little did I know that my fate was being rewritten.

Back then, during a ladies qadambosi bethak, my mother, with the 4 month-old me in her hands, was waiting in the queue. Her turn was yet to come, as a khidmatguzar showed up, “Maula farmave che ke farzand ni gardan ne sambhale”.

No distance too great for His RA nazar; no mumin overlooked from his extraordinary shafaqat.

Thereupon, when it was our turn to do qadambosi, Maulana RA instructed my mother to place me under His RA blessed feet: Exhibiting monumental amount of generosity, Maula RA gently placed His toe on my head.

Unable to contemplate the episode, we returned home.

3 years later, one fine day, my mother and I were aboard a hand-pulled rickshaw rushing full-speed, when in the midst of traffic commotion, the rickshaw operator applied sudden brakes. Losing all semblance of balance, I flew out of the rickshaw and fell squarely in the middle of the busy road.

As I laid unconscious with heaps of blood oozing out of my head, my mother, in a state of pain and panic started crying for help: zor zor si Burhanuddin Maula nu naam pukarva laaga. Out of nowhere a mumin bhai turned up, and we reached the hospital. As for my condition, I underwent a thorough examination. After several scans and x-rays, the surprised doctors informed us that there were no signs of an internal damage despite the nature of the accident. This, according to them was contrary to reason.

It was then, when we recalled what Burhanuddin Moula RA had done three years since.

Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin graced Calcutta with his presence 29 years ago, and I am sure a lot of fates were rewritten, a lot of souls were reborn, a lot lives were revived, and a lot of miracles happened, and are still happening.

I am sure.

Ilaj’e Nafs Ki Dawar Tere Nazdeek Kamil Hai, Muhawwaj Jism Khaki Hai Tabibo’n Ki Dawai Ka

Six days after my daughter in law had delivered a boy, she started to feel uneasy. We were busy procuring the arrangements for his chatti.

Reflexively, she took some antibiotics and got herself engaged in the preparations.

On the following night, as we had just finished with the chatti, she suddenly collapsed.

She was fuming with fever as we rushed to the hospital.

Immediately after being observed, she underwent an emergency test.

I could sense an unwonted haste in the doctors voice as he appeared with the reports, urging us to immediately head to Indore for a surgery.

Only then we sensed that something was really wrong, when the doctor uttered: “I hope she can make it to Indore”. Which, according to him, seemed absurd.

We reached Indore.

People who saw my daughter being pulled out of the car believed we were carrying a dead body.

For the next few hours, we saw a group of doctors coming in and out of the ICU, without anyone explaining the condition precisely.

A few hours later, the head surgeon came to us. “the whole body is filled with poison, we cannot operate” he said. According to him, everything was infected, except the lungs, which was the only reason she was still alive.

“It is just a matter of time now” he concluded.

Later, we came to know that a surgery was only possible if the poison would stop spreading, which, according to the doctors was not happening. Antibiotics had failed.

I overheard one of the doctors saying that there were slim chances that she will even survive the night.

Standing outside the ICU with a crying 7 day old in my hands, I was looking at his mother with tubes running through her body.

Unable to react, I resorted back to every mumin’s first instinct.

It was the eve of Imam Hasan’s AS shahadat.

Mufaddal Moula TUS was in Baroda at that time.

I captured an image of my daughter in the ICU and sent it to a relative in Baroda, who somehow managed to extend an araz for shifa promptly.

Upon looking at the image and listening to the araz, Mufaddal Moula TUS affirmed : “shifa che, behn na qarabat aney dosto ne kaho ke behn waste dua e kamil parhe, dua che”.

The message was conveyed.

Every single mumin living in Shajapur, who were in masjid for shahadat majlis at that time, recited dua e kamil for the life of my daughter.

Following this, late at night, I went home.

I stood in front of Moula’s TUS picture and placed the child underneath it.

With my hands folded and tears flowing, I kept repeating: “moula aa nahna farzand na waste ehna maa ne zindagi aapi do, moula aap bachawi lo, aap mara dikri ne bachawso ne?, aa farzand waste bachawso ne?”.

In the morning, when I reached the hospital, I was stunned.

The operation was already underway. The poison had miraculously stopped spreading, and had also started to weaken.

After several hours, the operation ended.

2.5 liters of poisonous  fluid was piped out of the body. Everything was under control, and I could hear the voices “she is safe”.

How?

The doctors did not have any answer. I did.

Moulana Mufaddal Saifuddin TUS.
Imam Hassan’s AS shahadat raat, who was poisoned.
Dua e Kamil.
Prayers of mumineen.

Believe it or not, that’s the very recipe of earning a second life.

Qudsi Kahain Bashar Kahain Tujhko Ke Kya Kahain, Hai Aaj Tak Ye Khalq’e Khuda Ishtebaah Mein

In 1434H during Shehrullah, I suffered cough followed by immense bleeding. I was rushed to the hospital and was diagnosed as having TB (tuberculosis).

Due to my severe condition, and because of the legal policies for treating TB in Dubai, which could have possibly caused a delay, we were told to proceed to Mumbai immediately.

We did likewise.

On reaching Mumbai, we decided to go to Rauzat Tahera for zyarat before heading to the hospital. Fortunately, Mufaddal Moula TUS was presiding in Rauzat Tahera at the same time, and I was blessed with the opportunity of doing zyarat in his presence.

The next morning, after fajar namaz, just before heading to the hospital, I did salam to Mufaddal Moula TUS and did shifa araz. Moula TUS acutely looked at me and said: “khuda shifa aape, Hamza AS no bakro karjo”.

Content and appeased we went to the hospital.

On reaching the hospital, the doctors said that they would require a blood sample exuding with cough before starting any treatment.

We all kept waiting, but I never coughed again.

A severe TB patient returned home without any medication, and the reason is evident.
